However, not really wanting to end her relationship, Carla joined forces with her colleague, DC Kit Green, to try and get to the bottom of what Becky and her former boss, DI Costello, who was confirmed to be involved in the faking of Becky’s death, have been hiding for all this time.
Carla later told Lisa she wanted them to be together but, she told the Underworld factory boss that there was no coming back from what they’d been through in recent weeks. Carla tried to protest, but Lisa had made her mind up, and she later told Betsy that she couldn’t continue having the same argument with Carla, so they needed to call it quits.

Heartbroken, Carla took off her engagement ring and decided to still head on the trip she had booked to Lanzarote as a surprise for Lisa and Betsy. But when Lisa changed her mind about them being apart, it was too late as Carla wasn’t answering her phone, and it’s been revealed that Carla will worryingly go AWOL before she makes an appearance in the upcoming soap crossover, Corriedale.
Speaking ahead of the historic TV event, which brings Corrie and Emmerdale together for the first time in an explosive hour of drama, Becky star Amy told The Sun: “I can tease that I’m up to no good, but it won’t unfold the way you think it will. You can see me reach peak villain.”
When asked who will be the one to eventually take Becky down, Amy teased: “I think villains are always taken down by a team. I think something has to happen, there have to be consequences because someone that’s this evil and awful, can’t just swan off into the sunset. I can say that there will be consequences, who those consequences favour, I’m going to leave to your imagination.”
