TWINNING Coronation Street star stuns fans as she shares rare snap of lookalike grown-up daughter amid major milestone
WATERLOO Road and Corrie actress Saira Jackson has shared a rare snap of her grown-up daughter as she celebrates a major life milestone.
The proud mum, 43, wrapped an arm around her lookalike daughter Leah as she sipped a glass of white wine in a bar.
Saira wrote on Instagram: “Baby girl’s flown the nest. We shared a home since I was 18, and today she got her own keys. So proud of the woman you have become, and yeah, this feels weird. New chapter for both of us.”
Pictures of the pair on social media are few and far between, but underneath a previous snap of them on a mother and daughter night out, fans got confused by who was the younger of the two.
One person commented: “Which one is which.”
Another said: “You look like sisters.”
A third exclaimed: “Never!! Sisters!!”
Content creator Leah looks to be flourishing in life with pictures on her grid showing her loved-up with a boyfriend, travels abroad and enjoying fun times with friends.
Leah was by her mum’s side when she tied the knot with Marcus Jackson in Crete last year.
The soap star looked stunning a white off-the-shoulder bridal gown with button detail on the back.
The couple partied into the early hours at a gorgeous outdoor venue.
Businessman Marcus got down on one knee in 2022 fora romantic proposal.
Sharing a picture of them together outside Edinburgh Castle, Saira wrote: “I said yesss. Mrs Jackson it is then. Love you. Met you 23 years ago.
“Who knew our journey would lead us here. Here’s to our next chapter.”
Her followers – including some of her former Hollyoaks co-stars – were quick to congratulate her on the news.
Sarah Lawrence, who played Darlene on the show, wrote: “You deserve all the happiness in the world my girl.”
While another commented: “Congratulations. Awesome news for NYE.”
Saira has played Nisha Chandra in Waterloo Road for the past two series. Prior to that she was best known for playing troubled schoolgirl Anita Roy in Hollyoaks between 2008 and 2011 and reporter Naila Badal on Corrie.
She has also appeared in a string of other TV roles including Cold Feet, Life and No Offence.
