Tom Selleck is looking into working with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan on future projects. The veteran actor, now 80 years old, says he isn’t retiring soon and is open to new opportunities. While speaking with Parade, he said:

I wouldn’t say [offers] are pouring in, but maybe some people are thinking of me. A good Western’s always on my list. I miss that; I want to sit on a horse again.

 

 

Sheridan has a lot of television franchises that Selleck can choose from, and with his lengthy experience in the industry, there’s no reason not to cast him in any of the director’s high-profile shows.

Following the success of period dramas 1883 and 1923, several other shows are currently in the works, including Y: Marshals starring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton and The Madison with Michelle Pfeiffer.

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are also confirmed to reprise their roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler in an upcoming sequel series tentatively titled The Dutton Ranch.

However, fans are still in the dark about one of the earliest announced spin-offs, 6666, which will be set on the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas introduced in the flagship drama.

When asked if fans will see Jimmy back on screens, the actor said: “Not that I know of now.

“I kept my fingers crossed, but also, I’d be grateful if I got to do more and I’m grateful for what I got to do.

“I don’t want to be selfish. We got a lot of great mileage out of that show.”

Jimmy was expected to portray a major role in the Sixes spin-off after saying goodbye to John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) and the Dutton Ranch at the end of season four.

Although he continued to make appearances throughout the fifth season, he decided to stay in Texas for good after beginning a relationship with the ranch’s vet Emily (Kathryn Kelly).

The pair got engaged in the final instalment of the mainline series, receiving John’s blessing, and were speculated to co-lead or at least play a major part in the slated spin-off.
