Bold & Beautiful is hurtling Liam and Hope once again toward love and marriage. In fact, the newly re-engaged couple is set to tie the knot — hopefully a double knot this time — this very month, Swooon reports. So what’s next for “Lope”? Since a happy, stable relationship is the kiss of death on a soap, how can the show keep their storyline alive?

Gleaning clues from what we’ve seen on air, the kinder, gentler Bill has become appreciative of his son’s management style at Spencer Publications. If Dad steps back from the top spot to focus on his own reunion with former wife Katie and the upheaval she’s facing at Forrester (more on that here), Liam could find himself large and in charge.

One problem: Not a lotta conflict there, right? Hope would be as supportive of Liam’s rise in the ranks as he is of her continued efforts to keep Hope For the Future afloat. But we — and, more importantly, they — could run into a problem if Liam learns that being the boss is harder than it looks. If he starts to behave more like the old Bill, Hope would be like, “Who the hell are you, and what have you done with the real Liam Spencer?”

As the remarrieds clash, Ivy could lend Liam a sympathetic ear… that just happens to remind him that she has two very kissable lips. In no time, Ivy could reevalute her assessment of Liam and Hope as endgame and decide that if she isn’t willing to let her husband evolve, maybe someone else is the right person for him. Someone like… her.
