It’s the week before Thanksgiving, and that usually means our favorite shows air new episodes. There’s some disappointing news for One Chicago fans, as the trio of shows aren’t new tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 19.

Yes, that means there won’t be a new episode of Chicago PD season 13. The fall finale aired on Wednesday, Nov. 12, and it was certainly a major episode with a cliffhanger that will leave us reeling throughout the winter months.

 

 

That episode marked the last new episode of Chicago PD in 2025. The show will return in the new year, with Chicago PD season 13 episode 8 slated to air on Wednesday, Jan. 7. As usual, it will finish up One Chicago night, at 10/9c on NBC.

 

 

There is expected to be another break in the schedule after that. We’ll get around a month of episodes and then the show will go off the air for a bit for the Winter Olympics coverage on NBC. This should help to limit the on-off schedule that we’re used to between January and May.

 

 

With the way the fall finale ended, a life is on the line. Imani made her way into Raymond Bell’s home to search for Julie, only to find Julie’s phone on the ground. While there isn’t a sign of a struggle, it’s clear that something has happened, and Imani heard a noise behind her just as the episode cut to black.

 

 

We know from the promo for Chicago PD season 13 episode 8 that Raymond is in the house, and he’s not going to allow himself to get taken away easily. Imani will need to use her wits if she wants to stay alive and find Julie at the same time.

However, it looks like Raymond may get away with Julie during the episode. Voight says that there is a missing child, and he will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of the case. He knew that there was something off about Raymond from the start. It’s just a shame he didn’t have what he needed to get a warrant in the first place.

The whole case has been twisted from the start, but I don’t really agree with Atwater saying he’s never seen “nothing like this.” There have been sicker cases in the past, such as the one from season 11.
