#YoungAndRestless’ Tricia Cast promises upset fans closure over Chance’s death — but yeah, she was “floored,” too.
Back in July, it was hard enough for some The Young and the Restless viewers to watch as Chance took his last breathe in Cane’s arms but
when Nina wasn’t brought back to Genoa City to say goodbye to her son, well, many couldn’t believe it — and Tricia Cast couldn’t believe it either… that Chance had died, that is.

The CBS soap vet recently revealed to Soap Opera Digest how she learned about Chance’s death, what she told the powers that be when they called her to return for Christine and Danny’s wedding and how her character will finally be able to say goodbye to Chance.
One would think Cast would’ve heard about Chance’s death from someone at the soap but that hadn’t been the case. Can you believe that she found out her onscreen son had died from a waiter while dining at a restaurant? Yep, she sure did and still unable to believe it, the
actress looked it up online and “was just floored” to see it was true — and when she was asked to come back this month for the big wedding, Cast believed that Chance’s death needed to be addressed. And addressed it will be…

After relaying that the show did a great job closing that chapter, which will be seen played out while Nina is back, Cast was happy for the fans who have wanted to see this closure. “I think they were written and delivered by all with the care that they deserved,” she shared. “I don’t think Nina could leave town without having her say.”
As for those upcoming scenes between Nina and Cane, Cast thinks viewers will be satisfied with the end results. And when it came to acting opposite Billy Flynn, the actress quickly became a fan and was just so happy that her latest return gave her the opportunity to be a part of that storyline.
How do you think Nina will react to Cane? Because really, if it hadn’t been for Cane summonsing everyone to Nice, France, Chance wouldn’t have been there in the first place. Share your theories in the comment section…
