The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that some fans are wondering if Chance Chancellor (last played by Connor Floyd) will

return from the dead, especially now that Melissa Ordway’s (Abby Winters) husband Justin Gaston has expressed a desire to take the role back.

 

 

On Instagram, Ordway shared some great photos from behind the scenes at Y&R since she recently filmed as Abby.

Viewers don’t get to see Melissa Ordway very often now that she’s on recurring, but it’s nice that the show brings her back for Abby appearances here and there.

Ordway posed an interesting question to fans in her Instagram post – one that Gaston couldn’t resist answering.

“If you could be any character on @youngandrestlesscbs who would you be? Comment below and let me know,” Ordway said.

“Chance,” Gaston replied, which earned him a couple of crying with laughter emojis from Ordway.

 

 

Of course, viewers may recall that Gaston has portrayed Chance before. Gaston, who also has soap experience from a brief stint as Ben Weston on Days of Our Lives, stepped up as a temporary Chance recast back in 2020.

Justin Gaston’s Chance married Melissa Ordway’s Abby in a beautiful ceremony, which was made even more perfect by the fact that their portrayers were married in real life.

Y&R eventually recast Chance with Conner Floyd on a more permanent basis, but Chance met a grim fate during all the drama in France.

Chance took a fatal bullet at Carter’s (Vincent Stalba) hands and died on the spot, but that doesn’t mean he has to be gone forever. The beauty of soaps is that anyone can survive anything with a little creativity and some suspension of disbelief!

What if Chance’s demise was faked somehow? There could be a deeper story behind that and a resurrection plot that could change everything.

Conner Floyd has moved on since he’s now filming as the new Chad DiMera at Days of Our Lives, so maybe Gaston could step back into Chance’s shoes. Although Gaston was seemingly just joking around, we can’t help but think he had a good idea!
