To recreate the film’s setting, which takes place in Budapest, temporary vinyl signs and decorations will cover local information and tourist boards. These will be removed once filming is complete. The City Council and production team have worked for weeks to keep residents and businesses informed, aiming to minimise disruption and ensure smooth coordination during the shoot.

City officials say Warner Bros.’ decision to film in Murcia highlights the city’s growing reputation as a filming destination. Its architectural heritage, quality of services, and the support of the Hub Audiovisual de Murcia make it an increasingly attractive location for major productions.

F.A.S.T., set for release in 2027, follows a former U.S. special forces officer recruited by the Drug Enforcement Agency to lead an undercover mission against a powerful trafficking network. The cast also includes John Hoogenakker and Juliana Canfield.

Murcia has become a well-used filming location in recent years thanks to its range of landscapes and architecture. Several major productions have chosen the region, including Terminator: Dark Fate, The Rhythm Section, The Promise, and Venom. In Venom, parts of the Region of Murcia were used to recreate scenes set in Mexico, showing how the area’s desert terrain and traditional buildings can double for different countries. Cities such as Cartagena, Lorca, and Águilas have also appeared in international films and series, offering a mix of historic sites, modern streets, and coastal views that appeal to production companies looking for authentic European or Mediterranean settings.
