One of the stars from hit series Yellowstone also features in an ‘overlooked’ crime thriller fans say is a 10/10 movie that is currently streaming for free.

Luke Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton in the Taylor Sheridan created drama, stars in Into The Ashes. Grimes is set to reprise his character

in upcoming spin-off Y: The Marshals, and those who enjoy his performance in the Paramount series have urged fellow fans to check out his turn in the 2019 flick.

 

 

He is joined in the movie’s cast by Marvel and DC star Frank Grillo, as well as James Badge Dale who featured in Yellowstone spin-off 1923 as John Dutton Sr.

However, Sloan (Grillo), one of the darkest figures from his past, shows up with vengeance on his mind, Nick’s world is sent into a tailspin. Now Nick is hell bent on his own revenge and forced to fight back.

He must track down Sloan and his gang, all the while having to deal with his father-in-law, the local sheriff Frank, who is forced to wrestle with his own morality. The film only received a limited cinematic release in the United States but its finding a new life on streaming.

Currently, those in the UK can find it on Prime Video if they have a subscription to Amazon’s service. It can also be viewed for free as at the time of writing it is also included on Plex, a streaming platform that offers free ad-supported movies, shows, and live TV.

Critics did not look favourably on the title at the time of its release, with it only managing a 30% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Some reviews did praise it with one stating it is “a “stylish and violent modern-day Western noir, while not all the pieces of the puzzle perfectly fit into place, it’s still a good yarn filled with arresting visuals and solid performances.”

However, in the years that have passed fans and reviewers alike have declared that the titles is one of the most underrated crime thrillers. Movie reviews and news website Slashfilm claimed that it is “one of the most overlooked film’s of lead stars Luke Grimes and Frank Grillo’s credits”.

They add that it is well worth checking out ahead of Grimes starring in the next Yellowstone spin-off and Grillo’s latest appearance in Superman and Peacemaker season two.
