BREAKING NEWS!!! EastEnders’ Anthony to make suspicious phone call as his future on show is confirmed

EastEnders‘ Anthony Trueman will make a suspicious phone call as his future in Albert Square is confirmed. The character seems to have his plans in place as a job offer comes up, but is everything as it seems?

Anthony returned to East London in August for the wedding between his father Patrick and Yolande, but has stuck around since. One storyline has seen him run into former flame Zoe Slater, with the pair having a strained relationship.

This week’s scenes have seen Zoe become the victim of a stalker in Walford, with the character assuming that Anthony was behind the scheming. In Thursday’s (30 October) instalment, Anthony confided in Kat and thought that Zoe was suffering from psychosis.

Next week’s scenes will see Kat and Anthony band together in a bid to help Zoe, who is also juggling the responsibility of trying to find her long-lost child. Despite their compassionate nature, Kat and Anthony are rebuffed by Zoe.

Despite appearing to want to help Zoe, Anthony’s clandestine behaviour draws the attention of both Patrick and Kim, who promptly ask him what’s going on. He explains that he’s accepted a job offer at the surgery in Albert Square.

Later on, Anthony makes a suspicious phone call that suggests he’s hiding something – is the job offer at the surgery real or fabricated? And is he truly capable of messing with his former fiancé Zoe?

“Zoe was shut down when she accused Anthony of stalking her,” says our insider, “but next week, his own family begin to get suspicious about his behaviour as well. It seems he will be sticking around as he announces big job news, but does he have an ulterior motive?”

Anthony isn’t the only figure to come under suspicion in Zoe’s stalking, with several other Walford residents having a motive to cause her pain. One such character is Jean, who blames Zoe for the departure of her daughter Stacey.

“She’s a nasty piece of work, that Zoe,” Jean said to Lily earlier this week. “Manipulative and nasty. It’s like what my dad used to say. ‘What goes around, comes around’. So, we’ll see.” Could she have delivered her own slice of vengeance?
