Remy’s Coming-Out as Deke’s Boyfriend Goes Horrifically Wrong — Plus, Ivy Questions Electra’s Blind Faith in Will
As the episode began, Will and Electra were working hard. In other words, making out. She was psyched that they were having a gathering
to celebrate Deke’s new position — at which she’d get to meet his beau. At the same time, Hope and Deacon were expressing their delight at
the prospect of an intro to the mystery man. “Why is he a mystery?” Dad asked. Deke didn’t want to parade him around, he replied playfully, to let him be judged by everyone.

Shortly, Will and Electra were joined by Katie, Ivy and Daphne, whose presence was foreshadowed as always by a whiff of perfume. Electra was the kind of happy that someone only ever is before something terrible happens. She felt really connected to Deke, she said, so she was sure that his boo was going to be lovely, too.

In the main office, Deacon bowed out to go to work. Before he could escape, Deke and Hope took another shot at talking him out of staying with Sheila. “That may or may not happen,” Deacon said. “In the meantime, gimme a little peace.”

In the showroom, Ivy noted to Electra that she and Will seemed more in love than ever but asked, “Is all this stuff with Luna too much to handle?” In Ivy’s estimation, Will was a swell guy but had let Electra down. “It would be different if Luna wasn’t pregnant, but she isn’t going away.” No matter, Electra wouldn’t be swayed. “Will is here for me,” she said, “just like he was when Remy was terrorizing me.”
When Remy visited Luna in prison — why would he? — she gloated about Electra’s reaction to the news that she was pregnant by Will. Remy, on the other hand, felt bad for Electra, especially after what he did to her in the past. But he was riding high over “Deacon Sharpe’s amazing son.” So high that he was going to meet Deke’s work fam that very day.
Even Luna was like “WTH?!?” over that. They all hate you, she reminded Remy. And when loco Luna tells you that an idea is crazy, that’s really saying something! “I realize it’s going to be tough,” Remy said, adding that he wasn’t scared because the Forresters are too classy to dish out a beatdown.
Remy Was Sure Electra Would Accept His Apology
Remy went on to explain that he’d made the fake nudes of Electra to keep her dependent on him. His plan now was to explain to his victim what a dark time that had been for him and hope that she’ll forgive him. Did Deke know about the pics? No. Well, buddy, he was about to.
Proving to be as delulu as Luna, Remy imagined a future in which maybe he, too, could make a mark in fashion. He’d come back later to fill in Luna. Hmm… even though he promised Deke that he wouldn’t have anything more to do with her? These kids are bananas.
Though Luna begged Remy not to let Deke unveil him as his beau, off he went to Forrester, anyway. As the stage was set for disaster — “I’m sure we’re all gonna really like this guy,” Electra said — Luna was in the visitors room at prison talking to herself.
When Remy arrived at Forrester, he and Deke first spoke alone. Remy seemed excited as hell for this moment and even imagined working with his beau on HFTF someday. Deke said he couldn’t wait for Remy to meet one person in particular: Electra. How on earth did Remy not think to brace Deke for the reaction he was about to get?
