Setting the record straight… #BoldAndBeautiful’s Scott Clifton defends Jacqueline MacInnes Wood against hateful “fans.”
This week, The Bold and the Beautiful viewers witnessed the CBS soap’s latest engagement and though this isn’t the first time Liam and
Hope have prepared to tie the knot, “Lope” fans are happy all the same. However, “Steam” fans may not feel that way and maybe had
wanted Liam and Steffy to once again “go there.” Oh the drama this triangle has weaved…

Speaking of drama, the internet has been set ablaze with rumors surrounding the storyline — and one actor quickly jumped to the defense of his co-star. When a post appeared on X about Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, Scott Clifton felt it was important to set the record straight.

The post in question by The Spoiler Girl stated, “Just so #Lope fans know. Bell wanted to put Steam back together but JMW is against that ship. So congratulations, Hope wins Liam by default until he cheats on her again!” And when another poster jumped in and called Wood a “drama queen,” the daytime actor replied to both comments…

“Jacqui is a consummate professional and a dream coworker,” Clifton stated. “Two things are true at once: she has expressed the (very reasonable) personal/creative opinion that ‘Steam’ has run its course; yet if Mr. Bell wrote Liam and Steffy getting back together again, she would give it 110%.”

So, there you have the truth, straight from the actor. No matter which side of the fence you’re on, buying into rumors doesn’t do anyone any good. And really, the stars don’t always like what their characters do. In fact, during an interview, Clifton told Soaps.com earlier this year, “When I’m playing Liam, I’m recognizing that I’m not playing the hero, I’m playing that [bleep] that we all know and tolerate, but we wish that he treated women better.”
