If you’ve been thinking that Phyllis stealing Cane’s AI program has all been too… easy, well, you’re not alone. The Young & Restless pot-stirrer appears to be sitting in the catbird seat, but if our hunch is correct, all is not what it seems…

competent enough to build in protections against it being stolen by a single, albeit top-notch, hacker from Genoa City, Wisconsin. But that’s not the only thing making us suspicious. Cane’s just a little too cool, calm and collected about the breach.Sure, Ashby is making all the right noises about his AI being stolen, but given the chaos it could unleash, and the fact that it could very well be used to dismantle his own

 

 

empire, there’s a decided lack of panic. Which makes us think there’s more to the story of Phyllis being able to undermine him so handily.Cane’s warning to Jack may have been tactical, in order to set up a showdown between him and Victor. Phyllis may, in fact, be about to hand over a program designed to infiltrate the company of the titan who proves most determined to destroy their rival. Similarly, Ashby may be using Phyllis to hand over a program to Victor that will attack Newman Enterprises when he sets it to deploy against Jabot.

There’s a myriad of ways that Ashby could be manipulating Red and/or Victor and Jack as well… and they all spell big t-r-o-u-b-l-e for Phyllis.

If Phyllis has actually stolen the real AI program out from under Cane’s nose, he comes over as incompetent and weak, which is not what the writers were selling when they re-introduced him. There has to be a twist here… right?!
