It was Halloween in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale, and Ross Barton (Michael Parr) decided to not use his brain and scare Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) with a prank, weeks on from being held hostage by a crazed murderer.

After Ross scared Mack while wearing a hockey mask, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) marched over to Dale View to confront him about it. Charity also took pleasure in telling Ross that Moses had plans with Mack that evening, which made him jealous, and very annoyed.

 

 

A while later, Mack popped by and told Ross that criminal and all-round weirdo Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) had just broken his wing mirror off his car. Mack explained to Ross that Kev is totally crazy and when someone is wired wrong, they’d just smash a mirror off a car to pass the time.

 

 

Unaware of Kev’s true nature, Ross headed to the pub to confront him about it. It looked for a moment that Kev was going to show former underground boxer Ross his skills with his fists but instead, he took some deep breaths, and calmed down.

 

 

Ross failed to confirm that Mack had wound him up, which meant Kev assumed it was Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller). As he headed over to the Mill Cottage flat to threaten Suggers’ ex once again, Ross wanted a word with Mackenzie.

 

 

At Jacobs Fold, the two men went head to head. Mack touched a nerve when he told Ross that Moses finds him embarrassing, which ultimately triggered him into taking a very big risk.

Ross alluded to the fact he knows something that would destroy Mack’s happy little family.

He is of course talking about the fact he slept with Charity earlier this year, and then spent time convinced that she was pregnant with his baby.

To make things even more complicated, Charity is carrying Ross’ baby, but she forged a document recently that stated Ross isn’t the dad.

So the secret Ross wants to tell Mack is that he slept with Charity and for a while, thought she was going to give birth to his second child.

This would break Mack and Charity’s relationship apart, yes, but the fact she is still carrying Ross’ baby and hasn’t told anyone is absolutely going to destroy that family forever.
