Our hearts go out to Days of Our Lives‘ Lauren Koslow and her family as they face an unimaginable loss. Kate’s portrayer posted a beautiful

tribute to her brother on Instagram, sharing photos from throughout their life, from their youngest days until now. And in each photo you can see how much they loved each other and how truly happy they were.

 

 

“I will miss you forever and a day, my beloved brother,” she wrote. “The world is a lesser place without you. No one could make me laugh like you — no one understood like you. Till we meet again.”

And along with the sentiment, Koslow shared a poem by Pulitzer Prize winning poet, Mary Oliver, titled “Don’t Hesitate.” It’s one that applies to loss and saying goodbye to a loved one, but it’s also a poem that we could probably all take to heart throughout our lives. The first two lines begin, “If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy, don’t hesitate. Give in to it.”

 

 

Condolences poured in from friends and co-stars to fans, some of whom shared their own experiences of losing a sibling and fully understanding the pain that Koslow is going through.
