EastEnders airs intriguing Jasmine and Nigel twist tonight as major secret remains

EastEnders has aired an intriguing twist as Jasmine Fisher and Nigel Bates’ stories collide in an unexpected way. There’s another major

clue about Jasmine and why she came to Walford in the first place, but could Nigel be the one to expose that she is hiding something?

This week, Nigel secretly took his beloved car for a spin around the Square one last time, but he ended up causing a crash that seriously injured both Jasmine and Gina.

Julie has covered up what happened and tried to tell Nigel that she was driving the car, but in today’s episode Nigel had terrifying visions of the accident.

He remembered Jasmine saying “she needs to pay for what she did,” so he secretly wrote down the threatening line and hid this from Julie.

Julie tried to convince Nigel that his mind was playing tricks on him and continued to say that she was driving – but Nigel didn’t seem to buy her story.

He headed to the hospital to visit both Jasmine and Gina, and he took the opportunity to ask Jasmine about what he remembered her saying.

Jasmine was evidently keen to stop her true intentions from becoming public, so she snapped at Nigel and assured him that he wasn’t at the crash.

However, this didn’t set Nigel’s mind at rest, and he became increasingly suspicious that people were lying to him about what happened.

Meanwhile, Oscar attempted to find out who had sent Jasmine a fruit basket, and she explained that it was from her mum, who has a busy life abroad.

But when Oscar left the room, Jasmine picked up the card in the basket, which read: “Rest up and get well soon. Need you back on top form.” Who sent her the card, and who is she seemingly working for?

Later, Nigel found his blood-splattered shoes in the bin, and he realised once and for all that he was responsible for the crash. Desperate to do the right thing, he headed to Jack’s house and confessed to the crime.

“I did something terrible,” he said. “I was driving the car, and I knocked over those two girls, and I need you to arrest me.”

Will Nigel face consequences for his actions?
