Now that he’s back, here’s what you need to know about #YR’s Noah Newman:

Noah was lovingly conceived when Sharon, insecure in her marriage to Nick, skipped her birth control and “accidentally” got pregnant. Nick

nearly convinced his wife to get an abortion, but she backed out at the last minute and so Noah was eventually born. So yeah, hotdogs aren’t the only things she forces on Nick!

Noah, of course, was born prematurely when Sharon slipped on ice and landed on her stomach. And we swear, it was an accident! Everyone was so sure he was going to die, that Sharon’s friend Grace tracked down firstborn Cassie as sort of a “Sorry your baby died, but here’s a replacement” gesture. It was sweet, we guess, but Noah lived anyway.

Cassie, though, did not live. So little Noah said goodbye to his big sister when she perished in the wake of a car accident. And since Mom and Dad were a bit preoccupied, he had to resort to acting out just to get their attention! Sadly, his tantrums weren’t enough to keep the ’rents together…

As Nick moved on with Phyllis, they got Noah some therapy, and he got better. Now played by young Hunter Allan, the Newman heir took to Phyllis as his new mom like a fish to water. But that only made things worse when…

Nick died! Well, he was presumed dead in a plane crash, and by the time he came back, he had amnesia. Oh, and Phyllis went to prison for extortion, as she does from time to time. This go-round, Noah’s tantrums were bad enough that they skipped the therapist and jumped straight to the psychologist. And can you blame Noah for losing it? They made the poor kid give a eulogy at his dad’s funeral!

Things were going well enough for Noah right up until summer camp turned him from a well-behaved kid to a beer-swilling, partying 15-year-old played now by Kevin Schmidt. Man, those two months really changed him. We hardly even recognize him… and clearly, neither does Sharon!

Now riddled with hormones and the bad choices they inspire, Noah got mixed up with Michael’s troubled little sis Eden, had a run-in or two with the cops, and the two of them even got their hands on a stolen $60k! They didn’t get to keep it (and does a Newman really need it?), but hey, it was fun to imagine what they could do with it!

OK, it wasn’t really Noah’s fault Brad died. The teen was just ice skating with Eden when he fell through the ice and was rescued by Brad… who then died when he fell through the ice and drowned. But hey, Bold & Beautiful never would have gotten Bill Spencer if it hadn’t been for this mishap, so we say, kudos to you, Noah!

Noah and Eden went through a whole thing for ages as their families tried forbidding them from being together, relenting, then starting the whole thing over. We guess the adults eventually got bored and too distracted by their own drama, because everyone gave up in the end and just let them be.

Things ended up going so well for Noah and Eden that the two moved to Paris together… and broke up six months later! Noah (now Luke Kleintank) came back home once again with a handy new skill: guitar playing! Heck, he was so good, he got a record deal with Tucker McCall’s label and set off on a musical career out of absolutely nowhere and headed for New York City. Hello, fame and fortune!

Noah wasn’t gone for too long, of course, as he had to return to plan his mom’s funeral when Sharon “died.” Wait, that’s Kevin Schmidt again! Well, alrighty. But don’t worry too much, because Sharon wasn’t actually dead and Noah moved on pretty quickly, anyway.

Once Sharon turned up alive and was sent off to prison, Noah moved back to Genoa City for good. Well, for the moment. But instead of living the life of a musician, Noah dropped the album he was working on in favor of writing commercial songs for Jabot. Naturally, he had to move right back to Manhattan!

By the time he next came home with a new broken heart, Noah (now Robert Adamson) was over music and the corporate world, so he took a job bartending at the Athletic Club. But he was still a Newman, darn it, so if he was going to bartend, it wouldn’t be for someone else. Nick convinced his son to join him in running their own bar: The Underground!
