Holly just made a major mistake on #Days, but luckily, there’s still time to fix it!
Crisis averted! Days of Our Lives‘ Holly has done a complete one-eighty after trying to flee Salem. Tate reached her just before boarding her
flight to Paris, declared his love and convinced her to stay. And honestly? Her response to Tate should have been an emphatic, “Hell, no!”

Now, we’re not saying we want Holly gone, especially when it comes to building up the next generation of legacy characters. But if she was going to stick around in Salem, deciding to stay for Tate is just absurd. Stay because she has family there, or because she has friends, or because she’s started school and is building a life.

But Tate? Those two have been nonstop drama since day one. At this point, they’re borderline toxic together. Even Aaron gave Tate a spiel last week about how many times they’ve broken up and gotten back together. And when Tate insisted they were done done, Aaron’s response was probably the sole voice of reason: Maybe it’s for the best!

But once again, the two weren’t done and it looks like Tate and Holly are going in for another round. Like we said, staying isn’t bad — but don’t do it for a man who went from being obsessed with a baby, to not even mourning the fact that he wasn’t a dad. And don’t do it for a relationship that’s been nonstop trouble!

While Tate may not have slept with Sophia in his dorm room, that kiss he planted on her to try to con her into giving him more adoption information pretty much just sums up how poor his decision making skills are!
To be fair, when we asked readers on Facebook if Holly should stay or go, there were a whole lot of fans who wanted her to stay. But a good chunk of that might be, as Michelle McCarthy wrote, how, “Holly/Tate confronting Sophia will be epic…” And that certainly seems to be what’s next for the two as spoilers have them teaming up on Friday.
On top of that, as Carolyn Summerlin wrote, “Stay in Salem. You can’t run from your problems!!” Now that is wise advice — especially since Holly’s about to be completely vindicated in all the scandal that Sophia created.
But again, confronting Sophia and facing her problems doesn’t mean Holly needs to get back to Tate. At this point, it might be best for these two to just call it a day and go about their lives as friends, at most, instead of the star-crossed lovers Days of Our Lives seems determined to convince us that they are.
