Next week on Coronation Street, Carl’s scheming is at risk of being exposed ahead of Debbie and Ronnie’s wedding. Meanwhile, Billy uncovers the truth about Todd’s abuse at Theo’s hands, while Becky plots her getaway with Lisa and Betsy.

1. Carl confides in Ronnie

Ronnie offers to accompany Carl when he decides to visit his mum’s body to say a final goodbye.

Carl confides in Ronnie that his mum never showed him any love as a child and that’s why he finds it difficult to love as an adult. His confession causes Ronnie to question if Carl loves Abi.

Meanwhile, Abi breaks down with Tracy, fearing her relationship is over.

2. Ryan grows suspicious

Ryan takes a call at the hotel chasing up an invoice.

When Ryan tries to access the hotel accounts for more information, he discovers that Carl has changed all the passwords. Is Ryan about to uncover Carl’s scheme?

3. Debbie makes a wedding wish

Debbie is touched when Sally brings her to Number 4 and she sees that Glenda, Bernie and Christina are assembled for a pre-wedding pamper party.

At the party, Debbie reveals her wish that Kevin and Carl would set aside their feud for one day to celebrate her wedding. Sally decides to take matters into her own hands and talks to Kevin.

Fired up after Sally’s visit, Kevin tells Carl that they need to talk.

4. Debbie and Ronnie get married

On her wedding day, Debbie breaks her glasses and fears it’s a bad omen. Bernie springs into action and promises to find something to bring her luck.

At the ceremony, Debbie immediately senses the tension between her brothers and orders them to pack it in.

Debbie performs with the dementia choir, but tensions between Kevin and Carl threaten to ruin the big day. Will they keep their promise to Debbie?

5. Abi shares her fears with Kevin

Abi’s suspicions are piqued when she finds a bag full of cash in the boot of Carl’s car. When they arrive at the hotel, she’s shocked to discover the bag is gone.

Kevin sees red when Abi reveals her theory that Carl is going to do a runner.

Later, Kevin stands up to make his speech…

6. Theo leaves Todd stranded

At George and Glenda’s joint party, Nick suggests joining Todd for a run. Theo is left seething when Sarah lets slip that Nick was Todd’s first crush.

Meanwhile, Christina is annoyed to realise that Glenda didn’t order a cake, but Theo insists he and Todd will pick one up. Theo ushers Todd out the door, and Billy clocks his odd behaviour.

After collecting the cake, Theo rages at Todd and accuses him of flirting with Nick. Todd tries to make him see reason, but Theo drives off, leaving Todd behind.

7. Billy fears the worst

Fearing for Todd’s safety, Billy reaches out to Alya to discuss Yasmeen’s abuse and how to spot the warning signs.

Later, George, Christina, Billy and Summer join Todd for New Year’s Eve. Todd nervously awaits Theo’s arrival. What is Todd planning to do?

8. Theo turns violent again

Billy and Summer pay Todd a visit, but when Theo questions Billy about the domestic abuse one of his ‘parishioners’ has faced, Billy worries that Theo knows he’s onto him.

After Billy and Summer leave, Theo lashes out at Todd.

9. Todd tries to escape

Horrified by what he’s done, Theo tries to pass the blame onto Todd for supposedly causing him to lose his temper. When Theo is momentarily distracted, Todd makes a run for it.

Todd receives a message from Theo insisting that he can’t live without him. Will Todd give him another chance?

10. Billy makes a horrifying discovery

At Debbie and Ronnie’s wedding, Todd spills orange juice down himself and is ordered by Theo to go rinse his shirt.

Billy follows Todd to the bathrooms and is horrified to see the bruises on Todd’s body. Billy is further taken aback when Todd claims he’s as much at fault as Theo.

11. Kit does some digging

Sarah tells Kit about Carla’s lack of response to her emails, and Kit decides to look through Carla’s diary.

Kit enlists Asha’s help to find out from the ambulance crew whether Costello said anything that could provide a clue.

Later, Asha tells Kit that Costello kept repeating three words and Kit quickly realises it’s a location reference.

12. Becky plots her escape

Kit visits Costello and reveals he’s discovered the empty flat, but Costello gives nothing away. When Kit departs, Becky emerges from the en-suite and thanks Costello for covering for her.

Meanwhile, Lisa agrees to move to Spain with Becky but only after she’s spoken to Carla.

Having hit a roadblock with Lisa, Becky decides to speed up the process…

13. Becky pulls the wool over Lisa’s eyes

Lisa gives Sarah an envelope with Carla’s engagement ring and instructs her to give it to Carla when she returns.

Later, Becky convinces Lisa that they need to throw away their old phones for safety. Becky promises to return with new phones before they leave for the ferry.

14. Maggie tries to smooth things over

After their dramatic Christmas, Will urges Ben to forgive Maggie. Ben suspects that Maggie has convinced Will to help her, but Will gives nothing away.

Maggie tries to win Ben’s forgiveness and admits she was wrong to have a go at Eva.

15. Shona has a scare

While Shona puts the Christmas decorations away, she suffers a twinge and struggles to draw breath.

Concerned, David insists he’ll take her to get checked.

16. Tyrone gets advice from Evelyn

Tyrone tells Evelyn that he’s going to skip his physio session. Evelyn wastes no time in pointing out that Tyrone is scared as he was due to make his first attempt at walking.

Later, Evelyn offers to look after the kids so Fiz and Tyrone can spend New Year’s Eve in The Rovers. The crowd cheer for Tyrone when he enters The Rovers on his crutches.

17. Tracy lashes out at Cassie

Asha confides to Amy that she’s stopped taking her anti-depressants, but Amy is concerned it may be too soon.

Amy discusses her concerns with Cassie but when Tracy spots them together, she accuses Cassie of cosying up to Amy.
