1. Irene’s leaving date is brought forward

 

It’s all systems go in Summer Bay as the community comes together to prepare for Irene’s big send-off, now only three days away. The air is filled with mixed emotions — excitement for giving her the farewell she deserves, but also an overwhelming sense of sadness that such a beloved figure will soon be leaving. Friends and neighbours rally around, determined to make the occasion special, each one doing their part to ensure that Irene knows just how much she has meant to everyone during her time in the Bay.

For John, the reality of Irene’s departure is particularly difficult to bear. The thought of losing his best friend leaves him completely heartbroken, and he struggles to imagine life in Summer Bay without her constant presence and support. His grief is obvious to those around him, but Dana gently encourages him not to retreat into silence. Instead, she suggests that he channel his feelings into words. Taking her advice to heart, John begins to put pen to paper, slowly working on a farewell speech that will capture the depth of their friendship. Though the task is emotional, he realises it is also a chance to honour Irene properly and to say all the things he has never said aloud.

Meanwhile, the news of Irene’s imminent departure brings with it another pressing problem. Harper and Dana, who have been living under Irene’s roof, suddenly find themselves in urgent need of a new place to stay. The countdown to Irene’s exit means they have little time to waste, and the sisters begin scrambling to figure out their options. With only days left, the pressure mounts to secure accommodation before Irene leaves, adding another layer of stress to an already emotional time.

2. Harper moves in with Tane

Clocking the restored harmony between Tane and Harper, Dana persuades him to re-invite her sister to live with him.

Harper agrees that she and Archie will temporarily move into Tane’s, but it’s not long before her doubts about the arrangement start to creep in.

3. Remi gets banned from driving

Remi learns that he’s had his license suspended for three months after being caught drink-driving by Cash.

An angry Eden soon arrives at the police station to give him a ride home. Remi returns to find Eden has dashed all his alcohol, but he defiantly orders more.

At a loss over how to help her destructive mate, Eden decides to focus on finding a wedding venue instead.
